Mandatory Declaration of DG and Non-DG Batteries for the M/V Warnow Dolphin

TO OUR VALUED CUSTOMERS

With immediate effect, all cargo containing batteries must be declared at the time of booking or prior to loading, regardless of IMDG classification, lithium content, watt-hour rating, or any applicable exemption. Furthermore all batteries must be new, since used or damaged or waste batteries are prohibited.

This requirement applies to all types of batteries and cargo containing batteries, including but not limited to:

  • Lithium-ion and lithium-metal batteries
  • Battery cells and battery packs
  • Batteries declared as Non-DG (e.g. IMDG SP188)
  • Devices/ Equipment such as forklifts, golf carts, generators, etc.

Supporting documentation (MSDS, UN 38.3 Test Summary, or Special Provision compliance documentation, Report for Safe Transport of Goods, Hazard Classification and Identification Report for Transportation of Goods) may be required upon declaration.
