The following Guatemala Port Charges will be implemented effective August 31, 2025. These charges are applicable on all import and export cargo. These charges also apply on cargo in transit to/from El Salvador via Guatemala Ports:
Guatemala Container Port Storage, applicable on all container size/type including refrigerated containers:
At all ports in Guatemala a charge of $35.00 per container per day, will apply as follows:
Free time: 3 calendar days applicable on imports and 3 calendar days applicable on exports.
Southbound (imports) Commencing on the 3rd day after complete discharge of vessel.
Northbound (exports) Containers received for export 3 days or more before scheduled sailing
Guatemala Port Energy Free Time and Charges:
Refrigerated equipment held at carriers’ facilities in Guatemala, El Salvador have three (3) working days of free time for energy on the equipment. Following the expiration of free time, the carrier will assess a charge of $200.00 per refrigerated equipment per calendar day or fraction thereof.
